Seahawks announce dates, times for preseason schedule on KING 5

Two of the Seahawks' three preseason games will be at Lumen Field this fall.

SEATTLE — The Seahawks unveiled dates and times for the team's 2025 preseason schedule on Monday, which will begin with the return of former champion head coach Pete Carroll to Seattle. All of the Seahawks' preseason games will be televised locally on KING 5.

Preseason action gets underway on Thursday, Aug. 7, when the Seahawks welcome a familiar face back to Lumen Field. The Las Vegas Raiders, now coached by Carroll, will be in town for a 7 p.m. PT kickoff. Carroll led Seattle to a Super Bowl championship and numerous playoff appearances before the team parted ways with him after the 2023 season. Geno Smith also could play in Seattle for the first time since he was traded to the Raiders this offseason, paving the way for the team to sign Sam Darnold in free agency.

Seattle remains at home for Week 2 of the preseason, hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on FridayAug. 15, also at 7 p.m. The matchup will provide a valuable early test for the Seahawks’ revamped defense, as they face off against Patrick Mahomes and one of the league’s most explosive offenses.

The Seahawks close out the preseason with a trip to iconic Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, Aug. 23, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. PT. This final preseason contest often serves as the last opportunity for players on the roster bubble to make their case before final cuts are made.

Fans will be eager to see rookies like quarterback Jalen Milroe, safety Nick Emmanwori and offensive lineman Grey Zabel who were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
