PULLMAN, Wash. — Cedric Coward announced Wednesday that he will use his final year of eligibility and enter the transfer portal.
Coward spent two years at Eastern Washington before following David Riley to Washington State University. Coward received a medical redshirt this season after having shoulder surgery six games into the season.
In those first six games, he averaged 17.7 points, 7 rebounds and 3.7 assists and scored 30 points against Northern Colorado.
In the previous season at Eastern Washington, he averaged 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, good enough for first team All-Big Sky. He was considered a top 50 player in the transfer portal before committing to Washington State last season.
The only two players the Cougs have retained this offseason are Tomas Thrastarson and Rihards Vavers.
