WASHINGTON — Ozzy Osbourne's final live performance over the weekend was quite memorable for the rock family as Kelly Osbourne received a surprise backstage proposal.
Kelly shared a video of an intimate moment when Sid Wilson, a musician for Slipknot, got down on one knee in front of friends and family, including her father, Ozzy, and mother, Sharon Osbourne. The engagement took place backstage in Birmingham, England, during Ozzy's final live concert.
In the videos shared Sunday on Instagram, Wilson and Kelly are in the center of the room when the Slipknot musician begins to say, "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world."
Ozzy interjects and jokes that "you're not marrying my daughter."
After some laughs, Wilson continued, "Nothing in the world would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?"
Wilson and Kelly have been publicly linked since 2022 and welcomed a child, Sidney, later that year.
"After 23 years of friendship I can't believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson," Kelly said in a 2022 Valentine's Day post on Instagram.
Before the engagement, the Kelly Osbourne shared a tribute to her father following his farewell concert.
"To say that yesterday was magic was an understatement! Thank you to everyone who came to support my dad," Kelly said on Instagram. "Thank you to the fans who without we are Nothing! My dad got his moment in the sun! He was able to say thank you and good bye in the most beautiful way!"
The 76-year-old heavy metal icon put on quite the show for some 40,000 fans on Saturday. The farewell concert featured a reunion with Black Sabbath's original lineup and marked the end of his touring career following a 2020 Parkinson's diagnosis and spinal surgery that forced him to pause performances in 2023.
